From the beginning, the band&#8217;s goal was not to try to sound or play like African musicians but to blend cultures to create a new global expression.<br\/>Their debut \u201c<strong>Afro-Fire<\/strong>\u201d (2014) was nominated for 5 Danish Grammy Awards, winning \u201c<strong>Best World Music Album<\/strong>\u201d and \u201c<strong>Best World Music Track<\/strong>.\u201d After the release, the band did numerous tours in Asia, Europe, the Middle East and Africa. In November &#8217;16, \u201c<strong>Made in Africa<\/strong>,\u201d recorded partly in Burkina Faso and Mali, was released. It featured compositions based on traditional folk songs and completely original material and received critical acclaim, was nominated for 2 Danish <strong>Grammy Awards<\/strong> and appeared on radio stations around the world (RFI, BBC, WDR, WNYU). Documentary filmmaker Anders S. Jepsen joined <strong>Sunb\u00f6rn<\/strong> on their journey and his film \u201c<strong>Bamako Play<\/strong>\u201d .<br\/><strong>Sunb\u00f6rn<\/strong> have toured all over the world, including: <strong>Reeperbahn Festival (DE), Jarasum Int.
